Yes, I don't think this contradicts my feelings of wanting to throw up when I visited the MLK Jr memorial the other day, bc MLK Jr did want people not to be judged by the color of their skin, and today's white activists want to label Blacks as POC, define them by that in one herd, fetishize their blackness, and turn them into morality pets.

I agree with you about everytbing in here as far as I can tell. I also did not know that Malcolm X privately said that to Coretta Scott King, which adds a whole new layer to that divide. I've always assumed that MLK Jr would have had to understand the motivations behind the more violent civil rights movements even if he didn't preach it.
