Yes, I didn't get to read it because of the pay wall. I wasn't criticizing it, but just saying, hey Julian Bond said something. I notice a lot of people writing today didn't read from the actual civil rights leaders. I hope that's not you.

I did actually read your other piece questioning kindness and I respectfully and humbly object to that because that brings out the worst in cancel culture. I do think people need to recognize and accept well-intended efforts or people will lose motivation to make those efforts in the first place. I come from a place of no one is required to be your ally though I think all people need to be held accountable for bad deeds. Critique from a place of recognizing the goodness in the world first is also something I believe.
Again, I thank you for reading and responding and though there’s a lot of different opinions, I look forward to discussing civilly with you more of these issues.
