Well, you technically weren't cancelled because you're not a public figure and your friend basically just cut you off. Your friend sounds like a mixed-up person who's in the wrong and I would stand my ground while being prepared to absorb a friend loss.

I think fighting against cancel culture is showing more sympathy to people who were specifically cancelled and acknowledging they did lose their jobs and such.
