The sheer number of posts on Medium and in most publications tying to produce white guilt is evidence that you want people on the low end of intersectionality (white, straight, etc) to be defined by their privilege and conscious of their privilege and it's actually being shown to lose elections. Think of how many Black and especially Hispanic voters have not cared about social justice warriors pity for them over the last 4 election cycles.
