OK, I'm now remembering what this is in response to.

In my experience in politics, it's a cardinal sin to misunderstand why people vote Republican. As someone who has worked on 3 democratic campaigns, and canvassed people just this past week, I can tell you that most people aren't making their decisions of what to vote for based on desires to protect their whiteness or other research issues. I was personally at the door of many people in predominantly Black neighborhoods and racial justice was not the answer for black Republicans or Democrats for issues that were most important to them and their communities.
