John Stewart-Kind of Dangerous?

This is certainly an out there opinion, I know. Growing up, John Stewart was considered the “Voice of My Generation.”

I even walked around the Mall at the tail end of the Rally to Restore Sanity in 2010, which was perhaps the biggest D.C. event I remember that wasn’ta presidential inauguration.

In 2004, when I first checked out the Daily Show, I found him funny but I wasn’t really educated about the media.

His thesis seems to be “the media isn’t doing their jobs” but there are all sorts of implications to that:
1) That the media has full control over all the events around it
2) That the media is actively obfuscating their duties
3) That there aren’t rules in place that dictate what the media can and can’t do; and that the media is breaking them
4) That the media is responsible for things being screwed up in the country

I’m not basing this on much: In one clip I just saw, he showed a reporter interviewing an election-denying senator, and then he maniacally yelled at the camera for not holding the senator to the fire enough.

Thie people in the comment section were like “yeah, you tell them Jon Stewart!” But reporters aren’t supposed to show bias with their questioning. If the reporter started overreacting to the lies of the senator, she would have been easy fodder to the other side.
