In response, I would say that participating in a cancel culture that denigrates others efforts to make the world better or doesn't account for nuance in people's missteps (often what you subjectively believe to be missteps) is not nice or kind. It's perfectly ok to critique but to limit and say "this shouldn't be" is destructive and self-centered
