I'm pro-democrat but anti-woke, so maybe I have to unpack that a little internally.

I tend to think of wokeness as over-emphasizing the degree to which race, gender, sexual orientation shape society. and in practice, those people can be even more dogmatic and wanting to shove your throat with it. A view on socio-economic conditions is a school of thought, it's not gravity. There should be plenty of room for disagreement over exactly how much white or straight privilege exists.
