I thought it was dumb and a double standard but as critical of wokeness as I am, I didn't feel like making a big uproar over it because I didn't want to be seen as a woman hater and I generally pick and choose my battles. So I basically saw it as wrong but I assume audiences themselves knew that a joke bombed and was mildly offensive.

I can't speak to if anyone was triggered but I wouldn't be surprised and I think it's not unreasonable that Regina Hall and the Academy owes a small apology to viewers who might have been insulted by it.

I think what's also interesting to discuss is Seth MacFarlane's "We Saw Your Boobs" which was making fun more of users of Mr. Skin who watch movies just for the moments here and there of nudity. Making a joke doesn't necessarily mean that you believe in the content behind the joke. I personally thought it meant something that he framed it in the context of what not to do.
