All true, and I appreciate that you're empathetic to that fear that men feel.

I still feel that the shunning of public figures and trial by social media for people who've been accused of rape doesn't make our society better either. I can understand the frustration, but there's fairly good evidence that supports Armie Hammer or Russell Brand's side of the story more than the cancellers care about.

I can see how if you do think someone's guilty of rape, you have to take that judgment at your own hands but perhaps the line is encouraging others to blanket boycott them or blanket cancel them. Everyone should make up their own minds.
