A Routine “America is Broken” Rant

I am sure I have said these words before in some shape or form. I am also sure that these words have been said by others too. Still, I feel an urge to say them today nonetheless. It’s just a way to deal with the pain I’m feeling from the polarization this country suffers from:

Yeah, I am convinced this country is broken beyond repair.

Firstly, even if you like Trump’s policies, you should have some issues with the way he is willing to use all his power to invalidate anyone who disagrees with him is the opposite of a healthy workplace, nation, or democracy. The idea that we should have any less resistance to this state of horror because it didn’t get Kamala elected should not be an option. Every day, Trump will do horrible things that don’t stand up to the empathy that our nation is.

Secondly, if you voted for Trump, I’ve evolved slightly. I think you sentenced us to unimaginable damage. And you all have really really stupid reasons. I’ve listened to a lot of the reasons from those in my social circle and they are all incredibly dumb. However, have evolved a little bit to respect the legitimacy of your voice if more of you voted one way than we did (minus the very real voter suppression). Still, if you don’t have the compassion to understand that the other half of the country is now living in quite a bit of fear, horror and loss of faith in our government and that four years is a really f-ing long time than this, then f — - you?
